Open Standards Architecture
DiVitas has embraced open standards in developing its mobile-convergence technology architecture, giving our customers maximum flexibility in deployment of the DiVitas solution as well as the underlying WLAN infrastructure.
There are several areas where we adhere to industry standards and thus we uniquely offer customers the greatest degree of flexibility available:
- DiVitas interoperates with accepted cellular standards such as 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) deployments for GSM.
- DiVitas VoIP technology is based on SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), which gives us the broadest interoperability capability possible as far as integrating with other PBXs.
- DiVitas supports SIP and the entire family of standards. Nearly any SIP deskphone or iPBX can be configured to work with our system.
- DiVitas Instant Messaging (IM) and Presence technology is based on XMPP (Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol).
- DiVitas interoperates with standard WiFi 802.11 security services including WPA (WiFi Protected Access) and WPA2.

"...Configuring DiVitas is fairly easy, considering its functionality. To set up our test box, all we had to do was provide a single IP address facing the outside world and another facing inward. DiVitas already understands NAT traversal as it relates to SIP traffic, so as long as it can be seen from the outside world, DiVitas can take care of everything else. Once that address was provided, we also had to log in to our firewall and open three ports: one for secure HTTP and two for the DiVitas software)." Read More |
