DiVitas Networks MMC Solution Named a CRN Emerging Technology

Mountain View, Calif. (06/24/2007) - DiVitas Networks™, the leader in the emerging mobile-to-mobile convergence (MMC) market, today announced it has been selected by CRN, a leading channel publication owned by CMP, to be on its list of top Emerging Vendors You Should Know. CRN's Emerging Vendor list puts the spotlight on 50 companies, which have stayed one step ahead of industry giants by delivering bleeding-edge technology that resolves recognized pain-points and generates high margins for solution providers.

DiVitas Networks mobilizes enterprise applications such as IM, presence, email, PBX phone functions, CRM etc. over any network (enterprise- and public-WiFi and cellular). The DiVitas MMC solution consists of a Mobile Convergence Appliance™ (MCA) deployed inside the enterprise and a Mobile Convergence Client™ (MCC) embedded in popular handsets.

The DiVitas MMC solution is mobile-network-, handset-, operating system-, carrier- and PBX- agnostic, creating a total mobile communications experience that remains under the complete control of the enterprise.

“Being identified by CRN as one of the technology industry’s 50 Emerging Vendors is a huge recognition for DiVitas,” said Vivek Khuller, president and CEO of DiVitas Networks. “Our channel partners are our marketing backbone, so we invite them to share in this honor with us. With our MMC solution and their industry expertise, we expect to see a significant increase in the number of mobilized workers.”

“Being a part of the DiVitas Partner Program allows our channel partners to be closely tied to our product development and support teams, giving them the edge in delivering our best-of-breed MMC solution,” continued Khuller. “The DiVitas MMC solution takes advantage of the technical expertise, industry experience and marketing opportunities enabled by the partners and their existing product offering such as VoIP, WLAN and networking products. With the DiVitas MMC solution in the mix with their current product lineup, our partners will realize and overall increase their margin and units sales.”

The 2007 CRN Emerging Vendor Survey identifies several key reasons why solution providers should consider adding emerging technologies to their product lineup:

  • Innovative technology is more advanced than existing products in its market segment.
  • The technology complements a solution providers’ market and technology expertise.
  • Emerging vendors provide better services opportunities, resulting in higher margins for solution providers.
  • Emerging vendors pay more attention to partners.
  • Emerging vendors offer higher margins and customers want alternative product choices.
  • Emerging vendors have better joint marketing programs.

The survey also found that the majority -- as many as 61 percent – of solution providers who responded revealed plans to increase the number of emerging technology vendors they partner with in the next 12 months.

"Successful Solution Providers are always looking for new and innovative partners, and the CRN Emerging Vendor list provides a way for them to discover a large number of potential new partners who offer a wide range of emerging technologies," said Heather Clancy, vice president and editor of CRN.

Companies who make the CRN Emerging Vendor list must have an established solutions provider program and formal guidelines for recruiting channel partners. They must demonstrate that its direct sales mix is trending down as evidenced by the company’s revenue history, a channel positive or channel neutral strategy for internal sales compensation, and not be a dominant market share player. Final selection to the Emerging Vendor list was made at the discretion of the CRN editorial team after a review of the submitted information and conversations with current or targeted partners.
